Hi guys currently own a XFX AMD 295X2 (Full system specs in sig) Currently playing at 1440P, no plans to go 4k until at least next year
I have an opportunity to buy a second 295X2 for £280 which I think is a steal.

Just want to know if anyone has had any experiences with this setup please? I've read a lot of reviews and the games that seem to scale well are the ones I play and the ones that don't scale well I don't even own so that's not too much of an issue.

Just looking for peoples experiences if possible :D

£280 is a steal, do it do it do it... but i suppose i would say that. :p

To be fair though, I've ran 295x2 QuadFire at 4K so i can attest to its quiet performance. :)

At 1440P there won't be video memory issues, so if you system is capable then go for it. Just have a think about airflow, because you won't want both cards dumping heat in the case.

Haha :D

My only issue is they will literally be side by side with a very minimal gap, and the superflower 1300W is worrying me, especially when I read other reviews on the net. I don't know if this can run past its rating of 1300W effectively?

You seriously thinking of getting it for 1440p ? Crazy hehehhe

Overkill is so BAWS :D

My thinking is this setup will last for so long and when I do eventually upgrade to 4k the performance should be there as well.

AMDMatt, did you notice increased micro stuttering when running the two you had please?

Don't be worried, you could run these cards stock on a 1000W SuperFlower PSU with an overclocked cpu without a problem.

Not in any game that didn't have well known, notorious issues on multi gpu setups, regardless of vendor. ;)

I thought quadfire support is not good on these AA titles?
thats what I heard when I was trying to do 2 x 7990

Interested to hear what these 'AA' titles are. From my understanding it was a couple of Ubisoft GameWorks titles, (now have a profile) Dying Light (profile disabled while Techland fix a bug) and Elite Dangerous. (profile in the works)

Not sure any of those are AA titles, but i guess your mileage may vary.

Might as well point out Total War Atilla, working on Crossfire but no SLI profile. Remember that Nvidia game Shadow Of Mordor? We had a Crossfire profile long before they did.

Long story short, swings and roundabouts.

I run two of these in quadfire and to be honest I don't have many problems, and for that price just do it even if it is overkill.

£280 you say? Bargain...

I would buy one right now without hesitation, let me know if you don't want it :D
