2D quality over speed.. which card?

So I've got around £100 to spend (no more than £125 but the cheaper the better) and was wondering about getting a graphics card for my rig.

I'm currently using the onboard graphics of my GA-MA78GM-S2H (integrated Radeon HD3200) but want two digital outputs.

I'm driving a Dell ST2410 and a Samsung 19" Syncmaster 191T

Primarily I want the card for 2d stuff, web, programming, office type stuff so 2d and text quality is the priority. Gaming performance is desirable but not really a must.

So I considered grabbing another 3200 off Ebay or something to utilise the Crossfire aspect but I reckon I'm into £40 / £50 so may as well stump up the rest if the difference will be marked.

Anyone got any reccomendations or advice?

Cheers,

Matrox cards are famous for excellent 2d image but they have practically no 3D capability so they many not suit you if you ever play games. There was also an article on Toms Hardware about 2D performance recently which may be of interest to you seems to be suggesting a problems with latest ATI cards.

can you CF a card with the onboard gfx?

Yup, with this mobo I can crossfire with the onbaord.

The 5770 was one I was looking at so that's reassuring, cheers :)

I know what you guys are saying about Matrox, but, maybe it's just me, but that feels a bit too left field. Wouldn't mind being able to pick up a game every so often.

Is the link provided a particularly good 5770?

I should probably mention I've got a OCZ StealthXStream 600w

Is that up to the job?

Thanks again.
