2gb + 4gb

Quick question currently got 2x1gb patriot extreme ddr2 @ 1066 4-4-4-12

could i now add 2x2gb for 6gb

provided both could run at that speed at the same voltage

for eg my patriot ddr2 + a 4gb g skill kit

you could do ,but there are incidences of different ram chips not liking each other and causing grief, so check first that the 2 kits will work together first i say
