Anyone managed to get any 2gb kits running at 2,2,2,5. Trying with my corsair 3200c2 and i can only run at 2,3,2,5. As soon as change the 3 to a 2 it wont post

i think turbotoaster has had really good results with his kit.

but the difference between 2-3-2-5 and 2-2-2-5 is minimal to say the least.

Im guessing at probably less than 1% in performance.

Tom

2-2-2-5 is very rare on 2x1gb kits, I think I've seen the odd set of Ballistix do it, but only one or two.

Its not even worth worrying about though, 2-3-2-5 is very good for a 2gb kit, you're not going to get much better.

yep only the old Ballistix Micron based stuff could do 2-2-2-5 and strangely enough, add all those numbers together and that's how long in minutes the stuff would run without needing an RMA...

Apart from that stuff I've not seen any 2Gb kits do 2-2-2-5 yet, though having said that Team Group are using a new revision of Micron chips in some of their kits. I think they have been able to do 2-2-2-5. Worth looking into.

Thats got to be with corsair 3500ll im guessing. Have heard they-re amazing with some people keeping cas2 up to 238-240mhz

I can only keep CAS2 up to around 230MHz, but I can get 2.5-3-2-5 up to 257MHz:D Well worth the price IMO.

Yo steet!
What voltage to put it in and what is your RAM spec ?

Its Corsair 3500LL RAM that I've got. I only need to run 2.6V through it... It doesn't respond well at all to any extra volts.

I though you had 3200 C2PT. I just wanna see how the 3200 C2PT capable of.

There was a thread on xs about these sticks and the lower the voltage the better they seemed to perform. Think he set them at 2.5 or 2.6v in the end. Cant find the link any more though.

I had a set that did 207 2,3,2,5 1t @ 2.6v stable. They dont come close to the 3500ll sticks.

cheers for the info. ted...
im staring to overclock my system and need all the info i could get before lay my hand on the process.

Kunnak on xs had a set that ran better at tighter timings and lower voltage. Infact he just sold them, i believe they did 3-3-2-7 @ 260mhz with just 2.2volts (modded dfi expret bios).
