2GB DDR1 - does this exist?

A mate was telling me the other day that its possible to get 2GB DDR1 memory sticks to allow 4GB in two slots. I was surprised as I've never come across these.

Does anyone know if these actually exist?

Well I just went on to a well known e-competitor and they had a single Crucial DDR1 2 gb stick for stupid money. For the same money you could have bought 6 gig of DDR2 from OcUK.
 
Out of interest do you mind if I ask how much it was z0mbi3?

That kind of money is indeed silly. If you wanted 4GB it would be better to go for a complete motherboard/CPU/graphics card upgrade at the same time.

Thats fine z0mbi3, I think I worked it out.

Theres no way I would buy them at that price. Maybe a second hand set or if the price came down substantially, but otherwise I would just upgrade my board instead.
