2gb geil value overclocks?

whats everyone managed on these gail value 2gb kits then?

ive been playing around with mine tonight and am having trouble stabilising it but to summarise...

i run test 5 of memtest for 5 passes.. all at 2.95volts...

@ 2.5-3-3-6 i can do 225mhz for 5 passes, but 230mhz =errors.

@ 3-4-4-8 i have got it to 260mhz for 6 passes, but wont boot at 270mhz(no suprise really!).

however if i go back to my normal 2.9ghz setup and change to 3-4-4-8 @ 180/200 divider it wont boot at all... just beeps.

guess ill try it 1-1.

some ram doesnt like dfi dividers i dont think, try it with the normal ones like 333 or 266. I know its not the same ram speed then but ive found some ram to chuck a dfi divider right back at you.

dont like 166 divider either... and doesnt like 1:1 at 250mhz either.

weird how it passed 5 tests of memtest though. :confused:

has no one else overclocked these sticks then? im after thoughts and an overall idea of what these things will do.

Stable at 235 but not over, i run them on a 333 divider anyway, thats at 2.5 3 3 7.
