2GB of DDR2 enough for windows 7

i currently have 2 x 1gb GeIL low latency ddr2 800mhz
is this enough? I would say that im a gamer but not hardcore
im using windows 7 pro 64 bit

my specs

abit ip35 pro motherboard
q6600 cpu
 
My laptop has 2gb (but 1.85gb after the shared video memory) and works fine.

I would think 2gb for games would not be a huge problem, however I remember my desktop being a bit faster with 4gb than 2gb in vista but with games I noticed no difference (this was in 2008 though).
 
if i add another 2 x 1GB sticks but not the same i.e still ddr2 at 800mhz but different timings would it work?
4GB is so exspensive
What 4GB wold you also recomend?
 
I'm running 2GB of GeIL just like you and W7 runs flawlessly. I also play plenty of new games and they all run fine with 2GB of RAM.
