2GB Ram help my system run better

Hi at the mo im running 1GB ram and thinking of going up to 2GB Ram i play a lot of games main one battlefield 2142

My system spec 7900GS AMD 3400 754 1gb ram

If you play games like quake 4, bf2/2142, oblivion, etc. and like to ramp the detail settings to high or max you will get much smoother gameplay with 2gig of ram (in some cases they would be unplayable with just 1gig), if you only play on medium or lower settings however then you probably won't see a huger difference...

I highly reccomend 2gig however as I find it gives me a smoother overall experience and decent headroom even just in windows.

all my settings are high on BF2142 but i bet loading times should be better or less load on the CPU

I would get the extra gig, Windows will love you more, games will love you more, and then if you are planning the jump to Vista, it will almost be essential
