Hey i've been running 2gb of "Corsair Tx 2GB 3200 C2" for a while now.
I've just purchase another 2gb so i've now got 4 x 1gb sticks.

When I first put them in my pc it wouldn't boot so i've changed the settings in the bios from 1T to 2T. So now it's booted. But windows is only displaying 3gb. Is this right.

And should I be able to run them in 1T?

I have vista ultimate 64.

thanks

It says that I have 4gb installed but only 3gb is usable :(

I thought vista 64 would display this though. Or will that be fixed when sp1 is released?

theres a window vista 64 update for this problem which needs downloading for the OS to see 4gb of ram iirc

Ok I found out that I need to enable "memory hole" in my bios. So I did this and now it says I have 4gb in the bios.

However i've just tried to boot up and keep getting a blue screen message. So i've removed the extra disable memory hole and now its working again :(

Ok so it's only when I enable "memory hole" windows won't boot.

It will boot once I have changed it. But then when I shut down and try again it won't

Very strange issue :(

Windows won't dispaly the full 4gb without it enabled

grrrrr

Ok I flashed the bios and now it's working but only at 3-3-3-8

when they are suppost to be able to run at 2-3-3-6.

Is it normal for them to run lower timings?

It's possible yes that the bios will revert to slower timings with 4 modules. Have you tried manually adjusting the timings or are you going by SPD?

Got them on 2.5-3-3-6 now, so only .5 of a difference.

I have the same problem where would I find the option 1T and 2T ?

It will be in your bios somewhere, not sure what motherboard you have though so hard to tell. :)
