£2k gaming computer

Link won't work - if you view your basket, toward the bottom right there is a 'BBCode' button, press that - then copy/paste the code that appears into the forum here.

That will show us your basket so we can check :)

You have 2 cases in that basket :D You could definitely improve that and get better parts, noticeably cheaper too.

Getting a motherboard with WiFi onboard would straight away save you ~£60. The SSD is over priced you could get a 1TB NVMe for that price. PSU can get £30 cheaper with Corsair. Better AIOs can be had for £90 bracket. 2080 Super is a crazy expensive GPU when the 2070 Super (or 5700 XT) will be almost as good for a lot less cost!

What sorta games do you play? And what monitor will you be using? (make/model and resolution/refresh rate would help)

Do you have a PC system now you're upgrading from (if yes, what are the specs)? Or is this your first gaming rig?

Likely be better on an AMD Ryzen based platform, it's actually upgradeable in the future unlike the Intel equivalent.

Ah ok so a lot of changes then haha.

So I do have a rig so this is an upgrade as it's 5 years old.

I need the WiFi card as WiFi is a bit dodgy in my house so need a WiFi card to boost the signal.

Will have a look at the rest but if I were to downgrade to a 2070 what would you spend the extra money on?

No I mean you can get motherboards with WiFi built in like I've spec'd below, rather than wasting £60 on an extra PCI-E adapter. :)

You forgot to mention which monitor you're using btw? Just so know what resolution and refresh rate you'll be playing at etc

Just a heads up, Nvidia are supposed to be releasing their next-gen GPUs mid/late September. So my advice would be, get a new system if you want now but re-use your existing GPU? Then get the next-gen GPU from Nvidia. Rather than spending money on a GPU that is going to be last gen in 2 months time and you'll get a much better performance boost. ;)

This is what I'd buy... Minus the GPU if you can re-use your existing one as mentioned above. If your monitor's naff, you might wanna spend that money on a decent display instead. If you have any left, save it for future upgrades or other tech. :p

Motherboard has built-in WiFi 6, RAM is higher speed and overclock'able if you upgraded again later to a AMD Zen 3 CPUs when released. NVMe SSD is 1TB for £10 less than the overpriced Samsung drive. 2TB HDD I presume you wanted for just general photos/downloads storage etc? AIO is very well reviewed and has a quieter pump. Case is your choice, so just stuck with what you already picked.

Only change could make is maybe get a bigger NVMe SSD if you really wanted 2TB say to ensure got plenty of capacity for games etc? If you do I'd suggest getting the Sabrent Rocket 2TB (black/blue sticker) or Adata XPG SX8200 Pro for £240-250. You'd have to buy those elsewhere though (quick Google search) as OcUK's 2TB NVMes are £300+ ish.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,557.75 (includes shipping: £0.00)

This is absolutely mega thank you! May hold of then till new Nvidia GPU and see about price and compare. Thank you so much for specing it up! Is the difference between 2070-2080 that marginal then it's not worth the extra £250?

So I have just got a gigabyte Aorus F127Q 27" Monitor so looking at 165mhz and 1440p resolution

No it's really not worth +£250 but it's a pointless debate anyway, if you're gonna wait on the GPU purchase until later in September. You'll get a much better performance boost with a next-gen graphics card :p

Nothing wrong buying the rest of the system for now if you wanted too and have the upgrade itch, re-use your current GPU until you can buy the next-gen model in the near future and drop it in. :)

Oh and you have a great monitor already, so that's not a problem then!

No I mean you can get motherboards with WiFi built in like I've spec'd below, rather than wasting £60 on an extra PCI-E adapter.
If signal is weak having more freely positionable antennas in end of the cable could help to get better signal compared to fixed antennas sticking from PC's rear.
