£2k gaming system - spec please :D

£2k budget and want to keep costs down? anyone say contradiction ;)

splitting it over 2 loops will mean the pump has to do less work especially if you are going sli.

I thought this pc was for your friend not you, he doesn't have a tj07 ;)

he doesn't particularly care about case;)
The D5 is a very capable pump andcan easily handle SLI with 2 thick rads. look at rjk's build ;)

2 loops also means I need another pump.

as for £2k, I'm happy to over spend on the important bits, everything else must be cheap. I've already gone £200 over lol

what are the important bits? unless I'm missing something your spec is just over £1k. if you're going with the extreme4 mb add the extra £7 for the gen3.

my bad., thought i'd put the 3rd gen in. I'll update that - thanks.

OcUK basket - £1,100
570 blocks and 420 rad - £300 (direct from EK)
2 570's - £650 (direct from EVGA)
PSU - £180

Total: Roughly £2,100

Important bits are basically the gfx card, CPU and lquid cooling bits. Don't care about the rest as long as it is decent and does the job

£650 for 2 570s? you prob could have for ones already with blocks for that(if they do that for 570s, do for 580) ;)

p.s. hope you checked that the ek blocks fit the evga 570 2.5gb

Lol, I know. I would get a 590 but the EVGA ones are nowhere to be seen so I'll give it a miss.
The 570s have more VRAM though ;)

They don't do previewed blocks with 570's :(

I'll ask OcUK when the 2.5gb 570's are due and decide whether to wait. Will save £50. Stupid phone makes it awkward for me to browse OcUK store

And yes, ofcourse, I've checked compatibility :D
