£2k got me..

which no one else happens to want lol whats the spec?

Why you want to buy it?

I think you missed my point my car specifically has nothing to do with my point, my point is people are quick to buy crap and sellers manage to shift it easier because its a popular car IE a Golf

My car isnt particulary popular as its not an everyday Civic its a rare model but its a much better car in terms of reliability, mileage and spec but its much more difficult to sell because people are narrowminded

what rare model civic do you have, im just curious as to whats so much "better" than a common or garden golf. you just sound really hacked off that no one wants to buy your car and still 10 years on, old golfs sell like hot cakes

Point missed again. I never said it was better did I and of course I am hacked off I want to sell it but cant thats why I commented in the first place because I dont understand the logic behind buying a car for £2k with 150K miles that needs money spending on it just because its a Golf (which is from a very poor VW era for reliability in the first place) when there are better options out there not particulary my car i'm just using my car as an example

but what is your rare model civic?

clearly youre miles from the mark. from a "bad reliability era"? mines on 150k miles, it runs absolutely fine, my other one is on 225k miles, thats absolutely fine too. needs money spent on it? the two front bushes (the only things that id think abuot changing, theyre not even banging etc) will cost £20 for the pair.

i suppose i did buy it because its a golf. being a golf is a good thing, hence they sell, all day long, i even travelled a fair few miles to get it

I'm not saying what model it is because its beside the point and i'm not repeating my point again!

Why bring it up if you don't want to talk about it? Is it because it's not rare at all and you are just being bitter because your car won't sell?

You're coming across as a bit of a tool at the moment, why not rectify this by actually bringing some meaning and discussion rather than pure bitterness and derailment?

Maybe I am a tool?

I have repeated the point many times, my car specifically has nothing to do with my point, the only reason you want me to post details of my car is so that can be the focus of the discussion when that was not my intention.

I've already said i'm a bit bitter, why this guy is taking it so personally I dont know, I was using the situation as an example

and, in anycase, mk4 golf being a common or garden everyday car, no wonder it sells better than such a rare model civic. not as many people would need smething as specialised as a civic

Really not sure why you have taken this so personally TBH I made a comment on your purchase and made a point as to why I think I am struggling to sell my car. If I did it in a harsh way and you're a upset about it then please accept my apologies

will do, other than being a straight forward golf, the only things thats remarkable is how the thing has managed to take the mileage so well. the front end is barely even stone chipped etc

I'd rather have a Mk4 1.8T golf than a very very plastic JDM YO! Civic.

My first turbo did around 90k but thats because the car suffered oil pickup failure (due to me using engine flush, deffo change the pickup Matt, you will be crying if you don't.

I would assume he means the radiator fans on Aircon equipped MK4 Golf platform cars. Where the resistor packs burn out and leave you without the secondary pusher fan.

Common problem.
I swear my fans have never turned on, but my compressor's bust so I assumed that was the reason.
Temps have always been fine though..
