For some weird reason I've decided its time to grow up and buy a house - thus my MX5 has to go and is currently sitting on pistonheads

Anyhows i'm looking for a cheap replacement (both in initial purchase, running and insurance costs) to do the short (but generally rainy) trip to the train.

Basically i want something that handles reasonably well and doesn't cost the earth in insurance or running costs. I'm not really interested in getting a larger car (have the misses' mazda6 for that) and don't really need a larger engine thats going to be waisted on town driving.

What do you reckon peeps?

more like sell for 7k = 5k to add to the deposit.

The real point is that I'm hardly driving it at the moment. Which will let me sit in the 10% deposit region, save a good chunk a month on repayments & still having some money to buy a bed when i move in

To be honest i'm not ovely keen on french cars after owning a 206 years ago, but i'll have a look at the paxo - valver is more tempting though...
