Ive just had to go back to a old ps2 keyboard cos my g15 bust. This keyboard wont let me press more the 2keys at the same time and if I press a third key, that key dont work. Its a real pain for racing games. Is this normal for ps2 keyboards? and if I got a usb adaptor would if fix the problem??

Pretty sure its an internal setup to the keyboard so the adaptor wont help - Im not too sure of the exact issue but effectively the 'wiring' and the controller can only accept 2 inputs at a time, anything above that it just cant accept and will error out.

Hopefully someone can confirm that, but Im afraid youll probably have to get a new keyboard - though as its an inherent design flaw, so being USB or PS2 doesnt really factor - so you could still get it with cheap USB keyboards...

It looks like I will have to buy another keyboard then, cos the 2key thing is really annoying when playing games.

What do ppl think about the "Saitek PZ 30AV Eclipse Wired Keyboard"?, cos I cannot afford another g15. How meny keys can you press on that and has it play, stop, ect for winamp/mp?

It hasn't got any media keys really apart from Volume up/down and mute, i'm not sure how many keys it is but ive held down a maximum of around 6 at a time.

Whats wrong with the G15 and is it in warranty? Id get it replaced personally if its covered and not broken due to user 'error' ;)

Surely they wouldn't impose this limit, otherwise Ctrl Alt Del wouldn't work?! Guess it's broken?

I must admit Ive never seen/heard of a 2 key limit - usually its 3. Got to be a bundled keyboard with a high-street PC :p

Just tried the ctrl alt del, and that works fine, but if you press space and 2 arrow keys down the third key you pressed wont work.

well my last system drove my mad and Im amazed that i didnt beat it up, but my poor g15 got all the beating up, by hitting it in temper.. Anyway a few month ago the lcd light woud go off if you bent it too far back. Then a few weeks later the g15 keys started flickering, so i decided to open it up,, bad mistake, totally buggered the lcd and alll the keyboard started flickering. So changed to my old ps2 keyboard, cos I didnt want the g15 to cause damage to my new sysen that I built in march cos my old sys had been doing my nut in for over 3yrs. This new system is just bliss:D Just a real shame that I took out my anger on my g15.

i just had that same problem with a new usb keyboard...

so i went back to my old PS2 keyboard and it works fine.

which doesnt make much sense but yea

Now that you mention it, I remember not being able to play a tennis game because 2 arrow keys and space wouldn't work together...

Odd.

My old PS2 keyboard was selective about which key combinations could be pressed at a time mostly it was 2 at a time but for certain combos eg Ctrl + Alt+ Del it would pickup all 3.

I had the saitek eclipse (still have) and I contacted support at the time to complain that I couldn't press more than 2 keys at a time, the guy basically said that it's a fault within the USB drivers and that there is no way round it, having said that I'm sure ctrl alt del worked. I didn't have the problem with a ps2 keyboard.

Im pretty sure CTRL ALT DELETE (or any of the special function buttons) use different 'wiring' than the main alphanumeric part of the keyboard which allows them to be be depressed in 3 key combinations (consider all the possible shortcuts Windows provides)

As I said before its just the feature of old/cheap keyboards to cost-cut

I got the keyboard today and Im pleased to say that space + 2 arrow keys work together, but no nore the 3 or more arrow keys and space wont work together, but thats not a prob.
