Hi, I have just ordered a 2nd 980ti MSI card, there will be no issues with SLI for this will there? someone said there where stopping SLI support but just to confirm that was for more than 2 right?

i believe Nvidia are stopping support for 3+4 card setups for gaming with the new 1000 range of cards. you should be fine

You'll be fine with 2-way SLI. It's 3-4 way SLI with the 1080/1070 for gaming that Nvidia will be stopping support for.

What you may have issues with is game support for SLI. Some games are way better optimised for SLI than others.

SLI is still great on a lot of titles, even some of the recently challenging ones like Tomb Raider DX12 now have multi GPU

Will be my first time going SLI, now the 980ti prices are reasonable I thought I would get another and should be set for quite some time at 1440p.

980Ti's run well in SLI due to current optimised games/drivers. They ran very well for me anyway.

I have a 1440p Rog Swift 165hertz yeah.

They run great for me, no problems encountered yet.

A pair of 980ti and a ROG Swift are a perfect combination.
