Firstly I just want to add important info about myself for no other reason than it might help people understand how to explain things in their answers. I have Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Anxiety, I can understand complex issues if they're put simply and in steps.

So my second build consists of:

AMD Ryzen 5 4500 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor

GameMax Ice Chill 240 58.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Gigabyte B550M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory

Crucial MX500 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200 RPM Internal Hard Drive

GameMax Gravity ATX Mid Tower Case

Gigabyte UD750GM 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

ARCTIC MX-6 4 g Thermal Paste

Can you let me know if I've forgotten anything ;)

So my first build went without any issues but I had to take it to a pro to get the bios flashed and windows installed as it was a scratch build.

This build is all new except the 2 storage drives. They came from the first build.
My question is can I build this pc and install the two drives and turn on then load the software for the mobo etc, or do I have to get the old mobo etc software off the drive and flash with the new mobo?
My ssd has windows on it already and I know that microsoft allows for the fact that people upgrade their systems for keeping the licence on a different mobo, which is handy because it saves $$$$.
I'm pretty sure thats all I needed to know, but of course if anyone thinks Ive missed something that might cause an issue I am happy to receive any advice.

Have a most excellent day :D

1. What is the exact spec of your current PC?

2. What are you going to use the PC for?

3. What is your budget?

4. You need a graphics card to run that proposed computer (not listed in your spec...is that intentional?)

Personally, it's a bit of a meh build. I wouldn't recommend.

It depends, assuming there is no bitlocker encryption present, then you might be able to just load it up straight into Windows on the first try.

Should you uninstall the drivers? Personally, no, I would not, but I would make backups of any important files.

If you have any software that runs at start-up, like motherboard software (e.g. armory crate) or RGB software, then uninstalling those first is a good idea.

AMD Ryzen 5 4500 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor:D
As tamzzy mentioned, you need a graphics card because this CPU doesn't have one, but I assume you're aware?

GameMax Ice Chill 240 58.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Yikes, this cooler costs nearly what the CPU does :o

There's no 100% rule that your license will transfer. Retail copies are supposed to be transfer, but OEM might not. I'd also mention that Microsoft have disabled reactivation on any keys that were originally Windows 7 or 8.

GPU is MSI GeForce RTX 3050 VENTUS 2X 6G OC GDDR6 Graphics Card forgot to add it in the list.
Current PC is a laptop, and I spent my budget getting the list provided.
As for use I only play WOW and I have met the recommended specs with the parts listed.
I know it's not a great build but it suits the purpose for the budget I have at present.

Thanks Tetras that's a huge help. The windows installed is a disc purchased from Microsoft that is WIN 10. I'll contact microsoft support about that to be sure firstly. As for price on CPU and Cooler being similar I don't know if you mean thats good or bad but it's a temporary build to get me back to playing WOW until I can afford a better system.

What is your budget, you have not told us.
Have you already bought the parts?

Is your key tied to your Microsoft/Hotmail account? If so, then by logging in, you can automatically activate the new computer.

Sorry yes I already bought all the parts getting what I could afford. Thanks for the info on windows thats a big relief because it is tied to my microsoft account.

that's a shame. :(
we could've probably pointed you to get parts for a better performing computer with that budget (i assume those parts cost you about £600-700?)
yes that was the rough total I had to purchase in 2 lots and was restricted to one store for one lot of stuff because it's financed.

When I can I will get a ryzen 7 or better and a whole better system but for now at least it's better than my laptop which keeps maxing out on ram and cpu when I try to play wow :D

@Askania
have you already opened the parts and built it? or is there any way you can return it without incurring return fees?

just as an example, here's a build spec for £650
My basket at OcUK:

Total: £647.93 (includes delivery: £0.00)

ryzen 5600, radeon 7600 and a new 1tb nvme ssd will run rings around the ryzen 4500 + rtx 3050

ryzen 5600 vs 4500

radeon 7600 vs rtx 3050

For clarity: the key is not tied to the CD, the CD just has the installation media on it and that is all. Once you register the key it is associated with your Microsoft account and the device it was installed on.

The parts haven't arrived yet but I could only cancel these parts
AMD Ryzen 5 4500 CPU Six Core 3.6GHz Processor Socket AM4 - Retail 69.99
GameMax ice Chill 240mm ARGB AIO Water Cooler - GMX-ICECHILL240 59.99
MSI GeForce RTX 3050 VENTUS 2X 6G OC GDDR6 Graphics Card 173.99

The rest of the parts had to be purchased from the company that gave the finance which was only 250

I already had the case and the drives so that at least saved me some money :)

good. cancel these and get the ryzen 5600 and the radeon rx7600
the ryzen 5600 is a cool running chip and comes with a stock cooler. you don't need to get an aftermarket cooler (yet)

would also recommend to get 32gb ram and stuff the rgb, it's not needed. 32gb is more important than the rgb
if you need to, then cut down on the psu slightly to offset the cost.
however, i'm guessing that these parts are already financed. if you can't then you can't.

Some good news at least my mum gave me the money to get 1 x WD Black SN770 1TB SSD M.2 2280 NVME PCI-E Gen4 Solid State Drive (WDS100T3X0E) (SKU: HD-58F-WD) = £62.99
