Hi,

I currently have an nVidia GTX 580 with dual DVI screens attached to them.

I was wondering, I'd like to connect a television via an HDMI lead. Can I install any GPU to do this? I currently have a Radeon HD 5450 in a media centre PC, but the media PC is going as it's too annoying.

Would this work if I chucked it and used as a 3rd display, or would it throw a wobbly?

Thanks

It is theoretically possible. Windows Vista and up can run both ATI and NVidia drivers (in the same way that Intel drives for onboard graphics can be used along side a discrete card).
I've never done it though. It's worth trying, but I'd make a system restore point and a system disk backup image first, just to be safe.
