Ferrari [alonso ] to capitalise on their form so far?
McLaren [ hamilton] to push on? Button [to complain about balance more]?
Lotus [ got to be due a win] ?
Red Bull [ to favour Vettel]? :p

Who else is in the mix for a good run, 9 races, 11 weeks. Going to be hectic.

*quite drunk but trying to be sensible post*

Alonso to keep up his current rate of efficiency despite arguably not having the best car

Lotus to hopefully get a win! Would be great to see a smile on Kimi's face or an even bigger smile of Roman's!

I really hope Button sorts out his game a little. I'd like to see a mixed weather / mixed grid race or two as we've not really had any live up to the hectic promise in a while. Would love to see something compare to Spa 08 or Brazil 09 again! :)

However you look at it, I cannot wait for Spa! Sadly I'm going to miss the live race due to paintballing.

Short of a massive screw up by Ferrari or a massive jump forward from McLaren or RBR, this is Alonso's title. He's driven the best this year by far.

God that felt dirty. Gonna have to wash my mouth out with soap.

It's all Alonso's to lose really.

Alonso
Vettel
Hamilton
Webber

For end of season.

I don't get how it's Alonso's to lose. The last races showed the car is no where near fast enough in normal running conditions. A red bull drivers/Hamilton should still take the title, because most of the time they will have track position on Alonso.

It will all come down to how fast they eat into that Ferrari lead and how many wet races their are. I think it's far from over and will take continued **** ups from the others for him to win.

Red Bull and Mclaren are still faster but can they make it count, I think they will in the 2nd half.

It's also so to lose him and the team have simply been epic, espeically him:(

McLaren has underperformed and should be given a special award for the amount of times they've screwed up this year. Let's hope a break has sorted them out. I expect Hamilton to be stormingly fast in second half but can they make it count and can the pitstops not take 8seconds.

RBR have just been there and ready to take advantage when ever possible.

I dunno, Imo it would take a brave man to bet against Alonso at this point. The guy is driving possibly the best he has ever driven, Ferrari ain't that far off the pace and he still manages to bring the car home in the points or on the podium. Don't Ferrari normally have a better second half of the season? The likely hood of having "normal" running conditions for the rest of the season? Nah his to lose. I don't even like him, I'd love for Hamilton to win it but Mclaren will see to it he doesn't.

I think Alonso has been truly exceptional this year without a doubt. The Ferrari (especially at the start of the season) was a complete dog of a car and still is lacking pace behind the (ever cheating) RBR and (ever messing up) McLarens.

I would love to see Lotus turn it up a notch and Kimi to win the Championship! However, I think if Alonso continues to get lucky with the weather and drives like a man possessed, as he is doing, the title should be his.

Would also love to see Schui take a victory, for old time's sake :)

I have to agree - it's Alonso's to lose. But i'm happy whoever wins as long as it stays close and exciting.

Its a hard one to call. On one side I think that Alonso leading at the half way point is rare and that he can do whatever it takes to manage the gap to the others, who will be taking points off each other... but on the other hand Mclaren and Red Bull could easily win the remaining races if Ferrari drop off in pace and overtake him easily.

So yeah, Glock for the WDC basically.

Alonsos to win the championship.

Mclaren should be main rival but they will not favour Hamilton, which they need to do and so both drivers will take points off each other.

Vettel will finish 2nd I reckon.

Still like the look of Kimi as an outside bet. Would like to see some return to form for JB and then also a return to some more genuine racing in 2013. The tyres are still too unpredictable this year for me, and the cars are having to be driven way too far inside what they're capable of. I appreciate that there's a lot of skill in that, but it isn't fast enough for F1.
