A friend of mine is selling his card and he's said I can have it for £120

Should I take him up on his offer? I've only just recently got a 7870 off an auction site for £70

Advice welcome

Thanks guys. He's more of a friend of a friend. Having looked online it seems they go for £170 new so perhaps he is trying it on a bit.

I've sold 2 reference 7970s one of which clocked very well at low volts for £100 and under. To be fair they're probably worth £120 but market says lower

Have seen 2nd hand 290 going as low as £140 delivered, so £120 for the 280x with no delivery cost involved does look a bit high.

As others already said, around £100 max, no more than that.

You can show him this thread and let him see what we say for himself.

Are these prices available to me ie are you referring to members market? I'm looking on fleabay and don't see anything like those prices

There is a 290 on ebay with 30 mins left currently at £130..
Guess I can't link it but sure you'll find it :p

£143 delivered.
Bit gutted really. I won a 7950 a few weeks ago for just over £90. Then spotted a 7970 for £95 and bought that thinking I should be able to make £90 if I sell the 7950 back on.
Not looking likely :(

i sold my MSI 7970 TWIN FROZR yesterday on ebay for 138, it still had 10 months warranty from overclockers so thats it sold pretty high, as ive seen 7970s go for around 80/90, I even saw those 1st edition VTX 7970 go for 75!
