2nd hand games and manuals

I have bought 2 games now from a certain high sreet retailer, and found after checking no manuals, so i have taken them back. Isnt the shop obliged to tell you before you purchase the manual isnt in there?, seems a bit crafty to me.

I don't think they are required to inform you as they are 'sold as seen'. I would expect them to reflect the lack of manual in the price point, and it's always a good gesture to label them up as such!

'sold as seen', that would mean you wont get the CD with it either, cos thats not in the case when its 'seen'! You wouldnt know if it had a manula until you got it... right?

I would want to know if it had no manual too!

i agree, but they didnt , so i got my money and trade in games back, went to a more well known games store around the corner, got a better trade in price, and a manual.

Probably because he automatically assumed that he would get a manual. I didnt even think you could trade games in without a manual...at least that was the case with me a few years back.

If a game isn't sealed, i'll always check the box for contents before leaving the shop.

Normally there is a sticker with "no instructions" on the game if its second hand and they are missing. I would certinaly expect them to be there unless there was information indicating otherwise.
