2nd hand laptop for remote SQL work, £300 or less

I'm going to start working remotely and need a laptop for the purpose. It doesn't need to be a world beater, as i'm largely going to be working in SQL Server and crafting excel and word docs, but obviously I don't want a pup either - Preferably something with an SSD.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what features to look for or what brand/model etc..? I can see a few laptops available at this sort of price on the members market, is that the best place to look?

Are you going to be using a monitor or the laptops screen?
Is sql server running on a server or the laptop?
What sort of excel.. Index match or just basic ?

Currently our devs that don’t want a desktop at home are running hp 260 g6 but these are a bit more expensive new. But have seen a few on an auction site between 300-400.

I have no problem running visual studio 2017 and sql server 2016 on there. The only downside is they come with 256gb ssd, I’ve had to rip out the dvd drive on mine and add an second ssd. There’s a company that make dvd bay caddy’s for additional drives.
