2nd monitor flicker

Hi Folks,

I've got awful screen flicker on my 2nd monitor since upgrading my system. I've come from GA-965p-ds3, Q6600, HD5770 to GA-Z97X-SLI, i5-4690k, HD7950.

The monitors I use are identical, they only have 2 possible connections, HDMI and VGA. The connections I used previously were HDMI to HDMI for both monitors, but the 7950 only has 1 HDMI output, as well as 1 DVI and 2 display ports. So at the minute the 2nd monitor is using HDMI to DVI.

I've read a few posts about disabling AMD Overdrive, but it isn't enabled anyway, I've order a couple of display port to HDMI adapters but still waiting for them to arrive... I'm a bit stumped to be honest. Anybody got any ideas?

Oddly I used to have that issue with my 5770s but it was due to overclocking.

Are you sure the GPU is not overclocked at all?

no, machine is a new build so I haven't OC'd it at all. The card was from the MM though, but I don't think the fact it is 2nd hand has anything to do with it tbh.

Had to uninstall CCC to get rid of this and just leave the driver installed. Do I lose anything from having done this?
