2nd Monitor for 20" iMac

Hi

I'm looking for a 2nd monitor that would look good sitting next to my 20" iMac. Something with a similar aluminium colour and height. Of course must have a glossy screen.

Any ideas???

I think you will have trouble finding something that fits in with the mac. Apple should make imacs without any of the componants, so you can simply use them as an external monitor for your imac.

Na, he means a monitor with the same external appearance as an imac. This would probably look really cool though actually a crazy amount of workspace.

Yup but it looks like that's the closest he's going to get to it. Unless he bought another iMac, took it apart and customised it so it was just a display. I'm sure that's possible.

Actually that Apple Monitor is exactly what I'm after. £635 tho. Any more suggestions to stop me spending £635!!!!

Edit:
Maybe the 20" Apple Cinema Display at £391 might be a decent compromise?? Anyone know if you can adjust the height of these monitors? If not this might not be an option I would need both monitors at same eye level.

Go and ask in the monitors forum what's good these days. Should save yourself £300 - £400 and probably get a better display, though not as good looking.

The iMac's got the ugly chin as a side-effect of having to have a computer stuffed inside it - why would you want it on a monitor?

Don't think they do 20" monitors - but Hazro do ones in silver aluminium cases. They've got IPS panels, too..

That should work fine according to apple:

I didnt even know that you could have an external monitor with an imac.
