2nd Monitor

I'm looking at getting a second monitor. I have a Dell Ultrasharp 24" I bought a couple of years ago, can't remember the model number.

I didn't really want to spend £465 on the Dell U2410.

I run my current monitor at 1920x1200 using a GTX470 card.

What would be the best monitor to look at, at around the £200 level and would running the second monitor at 1920x1080 cause any problems.

Any thoughts out there !!

Will I notice a big difference in quality with the £200 monitors compared to my Dell, popped into a certain shop today, and the picture on all the monitors was awful, could have been the sourse material they were playing.

Hi there,

May I ask what model Dell Ultrasharp 24in you are running?

With a £200 budget I would suggest looking at this monitor to run alongside a Dell 24in, it uses a VA panel and gets a decent write-up.

As for running a second monitor with a different resolution, it will run fine, just set it to "Dualview" mode in the Nvidia Control Panel.

I had to find the reciept, its a 2407WFP bought in June 07.
