Hello,

I'm trying to set up a second router as a access point and am struggling, the wireless is useless in the second half of the house hence the need for the access point, I've got the second router plugged in via a Ethernet cable and PC’s / XBOX can access the internet via the second router over LAN. However, the second router indicates no internet connection and I cannot use the WiFi? Can anyone help?

Set up is as follows (Netgear Routers):

Virgin super-hub (modem only)--Ethernet cable-->3700--Ethernet cable->2000---Ethernet cable-->Xbox360/PS3.

Cheers

Hello,
I’ve done those steps I can access the second router and nothing is plugged into the WAN (just the network points). However, I don’t think I can see the WiFi, I’ve used the same settings as the 1st router (same SSID etc) is that wise?
Thanks so far

Just changed the SSID and its working fin (thanks) I'll mess about with the channels, i guess its not auto-changing to the strongest signal at the moment.
Cheers
