2PCs - 1 monitor

Remember at school when you used to have to select which PC could use the printer by turning a small dial on a box connected to the printer??

I was wondering whether you can get them for monitors and what they are called?

Its just that i want to run a linux and a basic XP setup at the same time but i only have room for one monitor. I dont want to have to keep switching the leads over.

Anyone any advice?

Yup, a KVM should do the trick. Use multiple computers on the same Mouse, Keyboard & monitor.

In work we have upto four computers connected to 1 monitor, 1 mouse and 1 keyboard. we use a small black box called onmi cube which was made by belkin. with this box we can switch between which computer we use the monitor and mouse/keyboard for.

yer i got a 4 port kvm switch for £14 from another retailer havent seen a 4 port so cheap in fact havent seen a 2 port that cheap. it works great has a massive button on top to switch ports. with this kvm all you need is a usb cable and of course the monitor cable.
