2pin audio from GPU to MB

just got pc running again went into cpu-z and found out its a dg33sxg2 so will do more googling and try it on intels site...

just noticed aswell where the prev cable melted its melted the connector inside the gpu (where the 2 pin spdif cable clips into) can still plug the cable into the pins just i dont know which way around it should be now.. (black on the right hand side??) on gpu's is right pin = ground?

i think im gonna give up and get a different MB where the spdif pins are labelled another lead fried last night and the plastic clip for the 2pin spdif in on the gpu well and truely melted. not sure if im gonna need a new gpu now ?? i can still see the 2 pins does it need the plastic surround to register a connection?

well ive finally sorted it.. my dad came over today with his multimeter and we tested the pins for ground and live.

so to confirm on a gateway dg33sxg2 Intel (Schroeder Town) G33 Motherboard

the 3 pins are as follow (from left to right) ... ground(pin1), spdif(pin2), power(pin3)

and on the gpu the left(pin1) is spdif and pin2(right) is the ground.

how have sound flowing..

the plastic clip of the GPu was completely decintegrated. so i had to take the lip of the card and ensure the clip was connected to the pins and screw the lid back on again.
(that lead wont be coming off again!)
