HI, Im currently running a single 19" LCD on analogue, and Im upgrading my kit this week, this is a work machine for web graphics etc

Basically im considering upgrading to dual DVI 19" lcd, or a single 22".
At home i run a single 22" Viewsonic which is real nice, but i dont use it for work purposes.

What would you suggest. two or one bigger one? what lcd would you go for

Im on a reasonable budget around the £350 mark below if possible.

I was in the same conundrum here:

I got 2 x 22" in the end.

Although with the recent drop in 24" prices am tempted to sell the 22" and get 2 x 24" just for the fun of it.

If you need dual screen as it is sometimes easier when working with some apps than just having one huge workspace, I would DEFINITELY say 2 x 22" monitors as a 19" WS TFT looked no taller than my 17" CRT to be honest.

19" WS actually has less vertical resolution than a 17" TFT, so they're pretty limiting. 1440x900 vs 1280x1024 iirc.

THanks for the feedback

for what im using 2 screens i think is the way to go. I hadnt intended to get 2 19ws, just standard 19"'s as the ws is way to small.

What 22"s would you suggest for dual... dont want to have to sell the company car to buy them. If they are lots. they will have to wait till next quarter @:)

lol, nearly the same as me, i went from 2 x 17 to 1 x 22" and its so much nicer, but i will be getting a matching one to accompany it before xmas :D but have also been tempted to sell this one and then get a 24" or even 2 24" monitors. the thought has crossed my mind :(

Internet development, with other things..... need lots of space etc especially when designing or compairing.

the 22 is staying at home. im very happy with it. Im just not sure what to get for work
2x19 seems the way but if i had the budget 2x22 would be amazing....

I thought people on here say that its better to have 1 big 24" over two smaller 22"s unless your doing somethingh where you require to put a paint palet on one etc.

But i gues its best to have 2x22 at work because if you had a huge 24" at work youd want to keep taking it home :p

I never knew you had to fund your own pcs at work in these sort of places.

with a £350 budget i'd probably get two 19" non-widescreens
