2x 5x12x2 !

I currently have the following

I want 2 buy the same 1 again which will then equal 2GB.

I know 2x1GB sticks would be better but that isnt an option.

So really im just wondering how this will perform, will it definitely speed it up much or is there little point doing it?

If you are gaming a lot, say even a game as old as BF2 then u'd be better off with 2 gigs of ram (it runs pretty pathetic with 1 gig of ram, especially when you go back to desktop). I don't know of any1 running 1 gig in vista but i don't think you will see much improvement with 2 gig. Lets see what other say though...

On my old AMD rig I had 2x512 I couldnt afford to get 2x1GB and so bought some ram off a friend and was runnigng 4x512 sticks. They ran perfectly and I saw a real improvment in games, the only downside was that I has to run at lower clock speed as the aditional 2 sticks were corsair value and the original were corsair xms. But overall I saved myself a lot of money and increased my gaming performance considerably - no more loding lag etc.
