I have got two 970s in my system but for some reason Sli won't work unless I connect both sli ports? (Meaning I must connect all 4 tabs) From what I understand it only required the use of one bridge to function?

sounds a bit odd, im only useing one bridge and its working fine, have you tried one bridge on both gpu conections

Yeah, on tabs 1 & 1 and also tabs 2 & 2 and still nothing unless I connect all of them :/

What does GPU-Z say when only one SLI bridge is connected ?
