does anyone know if one of the gpu wasnt working on a x2 would the card still work,i have 2x hd3870x2 but cannot crossfire them as only 3 gpu are showing not 4
as in not working i mean like driver issue or compleatly blown.

Have you tried each on their own? To check if it reports both cards' gpus correctly or displays one only having 1 in operation
 
i have them watercooled and the tubeing is very tight will have to sort it this weekend thanks for the reply
it reports 1 card showing 2 gpu hd3870x2 and 1 card showing 1 gpu hd3870x2there are no red led light issues and driver have been installed after a full driver sweep.
