OK, bear with me because this is a bit complicated.

The week before last I ordered an LG u880 on 3 from e2save, it was the free PSP and free u880 deal. I order on the thursday, and recieve the phone on the friday. Great service, the phone is active straight away, really nice phone etc.

Anyway, the next day, last sat morning, another one turns up

Oh well, the wife needs a new phone, her phone is normally on payg, but now we have this one we might as well keep it.

So I assumed 3 will just charge me 2x line rental etc. The problem is this second phone isn't active. I call e2save and they say they will activate the phone. 24 hours later and it still isn't active. I call e2save again, this time they are not very helpfull, and say I should use the online helpdesk etc, then they tell me someone will call me back within 24 hours.

3 days later, no-one has called me back. I decide to call 3, and they say they haven't had any activation details for a second phone, and they only have the one phone in my name (the one that is working and active).

So here is as it stands at the moment: I have 2 LG u880's, one active and working as it should, the other in 'limbo'. e2save haven't asked for it back or called me, 3 don't have any details on it so wont activate it.

I also got my insurance details through yesterday and there is only one phone mentioned, nothing is there about this second phone.

I'm seriously considering keeping it for the wife and getting a three-pay payg sim for it.

Thoughts? I won't suddenly get a bill from e2save for the second phone will I?

Did they send you a second sim card with it ? If so, your orders might have got mixed up with someone elses? If theres no sim card with the second phone, I can't see them charging you line rental for it even if you kept the phone, and even if they did Im sure you could claim is back as you only signed up for 1 contract.

Sure someone will turn up with more info, if it was a mistake and youve got a free phone I think its something liek 28 days, if they dont ask for it back and arrange a courier to pick it up and pay postage, I dont think they have the right to charge you for the phone itself, not sure it a sim is tied to it tho.

There is a sim card with the second phone, and all the details with it were in my name, so it's not a mix-up with someone elses order. I don't think 3 will be charging me line rental etc. on the second phone, because they say they only have details for one phone in my name, the one that's active

Like I say, this second phone is in 'limbo', e2save don't seem interested, 3 don't have any details on it.

e2save must have put it thru twice then, if its all in your name, if 3 have no details about it tho, they bill you not e2save so surely nothing can happen ?

Yeah, that's exactly my thoughts. I think I'll just bite the bullet and get a payg sim for it. If e2save do ask for it back then I'll just send it back, if not then I have gained a free phone, bar the price of a payg sim :D

Bit of a result, considering the LG U880 is £200 on payg  :D

Tis ;) If they do even try and bill you, you can just say look I signed up for a single contract, proof in that I've not even used the other sim and theres only 1 on my bill, its e2saves fault :)
