2x OS's quick question

hi,

have just brought a 36gb raptor drive, and want to put xp and vista onto it, from what i believe i need to partition the hard drive into two and install each OS on each partition. thing i want to know is that which partition will windows boot into automatically after and certain amount of time without touching the keyboard to select the OS. basically i love vista and want to use that as my main OS but my 3d application just refuses to work under vista totally so reverting back to xp to use just this program.

Split it fown the middle, install XP first, then Vista, and Vista will be the main OS.

This is how I did my system at the weekend, I use XP for most things as it's more stable at the moment, but I am also trying out Vista, so did a dual boot, installed XP first, then Vista and it sorts the boot loader nicely.

I can now easily use Vista if I want, or XP.
