Hey folks, sorry, new thread because the question has totally changed.

I have an Asrock z370 Taichi (good in its day, still 100% solid and stable) with 2x16gb of memory. I'd like to up to 64gb total, but google is giving me mixed information about support for 2x32gb dimms.

Does anyone have a z370 running these?

I'll go with 4x16 if I have to, but I've got a hunch I'll end up slackening some timings or bumping some voltages somewhere to keep my overclock.

I'd send asrock a message and ask them. My bet would be that with the latest bios you'll be fine, but the spec page for your motherboard does say 64GB max.

I'm happy with 64gb max, I'd just prefer it to be 2x32 and there's no official mention of that :)

Yeah, what I mean is, if it says 64gb then it's unlikely to support 32gb dimms, but it might just be that they never updated the spec. In the bios update page they don't really give much away.

It does look like the latest bios was 2019, which is a bit disappointing. This was meant to be a premium board, I'd hoped for a few more years of support tbqh. Guess next upgrade I'll have to research which manufacturers bother to keep updating beyond 2 years...
