2x9600gt in an A8N-SLI Premium mono

Hello

I am just wondering if you could give me any help on configuring my 2x9600 gt on my mobo(mentioned in title).
I am getting an error,when i change to SLi from the nvidia's control panel which tells me to adjust the speed to 4X.
Any suggestions.

looking at the mobo in sli the slots run x8 not x16m have u tried running both at x8 ?

Is it the type with the SLi card in the little slot on the mobo? If so swap this over to run both lanes at x8/x8

the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium is the only board in the A8N series that has SLI options in the BIOS, have a look for the settings there
