well i have been looking on the bay and my monitor, dell 3008wfp hc, still sell for around £800 second hand obviously, and i spotted that overclockers have some 27" monitors for £221, so im toying with the idea of selling hte dell and getting 3 x 27"s, anyone here done similar, would you reccomend it.

What do you do on your PC? Mostly gaming, or anything else? Have you had a chance to try out Eyefinity/Surround to see if you fancy it? Going for 3 x 27 would give you more screen real estate but would give you two bezel joins you haven't currently got. Personally, they don't bother me in the least, but they can completely ruin the experience for some people judging by comments on forums.

i do a lot of high res photo editing, as i print photos onto canvas with my 24" printer, so high quality is a must, i do a lot of gaming also. just a passing thought really, i would probably stick with the 30" due to the photos, but would be a nice idea to have 3 screens for games, but i cant justify getting 2 more 30"s though.

If you are doing photo work you definitely don't want to switch to TN panels.

This.

Why not getting another 30" panel then? I got my u3011 couple of weeks ago and I can't imagine going back to sub 30" monitors now.
