3.4 GHZ on E8400

Just turned up the Front Side Bus to 378 and multi at 9. No voltage changes, left Prime on for 2 hours never went above 51 degrees. Safe? Or more juice?

Should be able to give it more,took mine to 4ghz [email protected] and doesn't go above 60C.
EO or CO mate?

Got mine running 24/7 at 4.1GHz. mines a C0 so takes a more voltage to get to that (just under 1.4) but if yours is quite new I'd guess at it being E0, wont need as high Vcore

got my E8400 to 4.09ghz last week , ran prime to 10 hours and its fine. Volts are now at 1.376. runs fine mate, go for more

Or to answer the question...

2 hours stable isn't generally considered enough. It could easily fail into the 4th or 5th hour, I run it overnight.

If it fails, you probably want slightly more vcore. 51 degrees is fine, you're good up to 70
