Hi,

I have the thing sitting nicely at 3.4 gig chip voltage 1.48 ram ( which is ocz 8500 sli ) is sitting at 2.3 volts at just over 1100 MHZ due to devider probs
at stock 5-5-5-15 timings

now i sit the pc at full load on climate models for weeks but I have noticed that after about 3 days or so it just re-boots all by itself

i think i'm putting the max voltages i can get away with safely so my question is are there any other little voltages i should be tweaking to get it to run for months rather than 3 or 4 days

the motherboard is an ABIT IP35 all other voltages etc are at stock and pci is sitting at 100 MHZ

hope somebody can help as this is rather annoying as the reboot crashes some of the models

best regards
Ian

thanks for all the help in the past

What cpu? Q6600??

Sounds like its just not quite stable, very close though.. check your temps after prolonged full load (and be prepared for summer as they will go up clearly) and I'd say drop the memory voltage as that could be causing instability.

Other options would be drop the FSB a bit or up the vcore another touch or maybe drop the multi and try a higher fsb, you might be in an fsb hole what with fsb straps and all that, never fully understood it but I know my pc hates being 380-400fsb but its reasonably happy past 400.

hello,

thanks for all the replies
no havent run any of the software suggested as i came to the conclusion if it doesnt run it's only purpose in life then having in stable in anything else was not much help
the chip is the q6600 GO
Temps with the tuniq tower 120 are never above 60 on full load so no problem their
the memory is a funny one as it says in cpuz that it's PC5300 and the only way to get it to run at PC8500 is put 2.3 volts into them
which is rather strange seeing as there sold by overclockers brand new as PC8500 dual channel sli sticks

I like having it at 3.4 gig ( would like more ) but quite content if it was stable for more than 3 days
I did try dropping the multi but it wasnt happy at all and looked like it wanted even more than 1.5 volts core voltage which although not a problem for the cooling is a bit frightning voltage wise

i have read about various other settings such as the northbridge settings and other small voltage settings you can play with in that section that are given letters that dont mean much
do you think any of that is worth a play with or should i leave well enough alone in there ?

thanks for the help everybody
best regards
IUan
