Hey, just wanted some advice from you guys, since my current mobo went pop. I've probably got around £300-£400 for a mobo, cpu and gfx. I know its not a lot but I want to improve on:

P4 2.66 Northwood
MSI 865PE mobo
XFX GeForce 6600gt 128mb (AGP)

Any suggestions accepted.

These would be good, but I would suggest looking at selling your old working components and trying to up the budget to around £500 and get an X2 processor for future proofing!:

Recently sold a Gigabyte 6600gt 128mb agp for £72 I think on a certain auction website. Originally bought for £130 last September. May get a bit more (£80ish) privately I reckon.

Would my current Hiper Type-R 480w be Ok to power the upgrade? Would it handle dualcore?

Yeah, that should handle it fine :) I'd go with a dual core solution if you can get the funds together
