I have a HP elitebook 8460p with an Esata port.

What the cheapest and easiest way to connect a standard desktop 3.5 Sata drive to my laptop?

I understand the Esata port will not power the SATA drive. what bout USB adapter to power it?

Docking stations, adapters....even dual USB adapters available to both power and transfer Data??

There seems to be a myriad of options here...
