Im just wondering if we have any audio cable gurus here.. basically i have one free input on my Z5500s, the digital coax..

I now have an ipod dock with a nice remote which is great, but it has a 3.5mm out on the back.. now i assume this is an analogue out and so if i buy a 3.5mm to coax it wont work because it needs to be digital coax?

Any help is much appreciated.

Infact, forget this thead atm.. i didnt realise but it appears the musical note output on the side of the control pod is actually an input?! Gonna test it out.

Well, i got a cable today and its rather inappropriate due to its massive jack housings at either end so it sticks out the side of my Z5500 like a sore thumb, but nevertheless, it worked!

Now im gonna buy a right angled 3.5mm jack..

Didnt try playing PC music at the same time, dont want it to mix it really.. was just controlling my music from afar :D

Analogue audio into a digital input will not work, so it sounds like the ipod dock is outputting digital, or it's outputting analogue but really the digital input on the logitech's is really a analogue input.

Sorry, we've kinda moved on from my original post, which was concerning the digital coax input.. but i found out while researching that there is an input on the side of the pod which i thought was an output.. so im not connecting to digital any more AFAIK.. fairly sure its all analogue..
