3.5mm to 2.5mm jack?

I want to plug the mic on my headphones into the controller and wondered what type of 2.5mm connector I need, I seem to recall someone saying the controller had 3 points in it that made contact instead of two?

Well I just want to know if a normal one will work, or if it needs to be special somehow?

There definately is a simple cable out there that should work with it.

It has to split up the connections to two separate 3.5mm sockets.

Google "2.5mm to 3.5mm headset", you'll find a few examples there.

Whys it need to split it into two? As long as voice though speakers is set I'd only need one female 3.5mm?
