Hey,
I bought my ASUS Xonar Essence STX audio card the other day. I installed it all correctly etc. I am using my Sennheiser PC350 headphones with them, these have 3.5mm cables. One headphone cable and one microphone cable.
The audio card actually comes with a 3.5mm to 6.5mm jack. This is where the problem lies.
I can plug the 3.5mm headphone cable firmly in to the 6.5mm jack but get no sound. When pulling it back out slightly I can hear sound on my headphones but it's very loose and results in the sound to cut in and out when there is movement.
Now obviously this is not ideal, I have bought a top of the range audio card and I can't even enjoy it properly. I ordered another 3.5mm to 6.5mm jack to see if it is just 'faulty'.
Anyone know any solutions to this or where I can pick up a 3.5mm to 6.5mm jack that will actually work?
Thanks for your time,
Hatton
