3 case fans on one header

Typically motherboard headers are rated at 1 amp or more, which amounts to 12 watts. Fans often pull about 3-5 watts e.g. the last case fans I checked were 0.3A.

So you will typically find 3 fans is your limit, but it can't hurt to check the motherboard manual and the fans if they have a current rating :)

Am I safe running 3 case fans on one motherboard header?
Case is Phanteks G360A

Many thanks!

What's the motherboard? Check the manual how much amps the fan header is , typically it's 1 amp but best to check , the sticker on middle of fan will also show how much power it uses

My motherboard is 1 amp per fan header and not had issues running 3 fans

I'm running 3x 140mm fans on 1 header.

The manual for the tuf gaming b650 mb states each header can take a max of 1amp.

The fans I have are noctua ones and noctua advise they consume .2amp each so I'm within.

Depends.

1) pull out the motherboard user manual, it will show how many amps or watts each header can supply

2) check specs of your fan, divide fan watts into mobo header watts and then you will kno how many fans each header can supply

It does vary by motherboard, some have headers with low wattage and higher end boards have a large wattage, iirc highest I've seen is 60 watts output on a header
