3 copies of Custom PC for £1 - Good offer?

I'd never buy that magazine again... bought an issue once a good while back and it was absolute and utter cack. Aimed at complete noobs imo judging from the articles/writing.

Just my opinion, don't flame me for it. :p

hahah! I like to read it at work and stuff like that. I was only thinking of having those 3 copies then unsubscribing. Most of the info in there is always out of date when it comes to the stores because of the internet being a live medium but its good to have a read on breaks etc.

I read Custom PC whenever I have a journey by train, it's the best of a fairly poor bunch of magazines.

Luckily it doesn't come close to the utter drivel and CSS filled tripe that is PC Gamer.

Fair point, I was bemused when they recommended the x1900 GT as their mid range card a couple of months back. Good for some of the tests (fans for example) and case reviews.

And anything that gets more people to build their own PCs has to be a good thing.

Or PC Format with the cover like Nuts and price equal to the GDP of a small country...

*Shudders*

I hate PC Gamer... one of the most seriously pees-poor mags i've ever read, and completely laughable compared to the sheer genius that is PCZONE (been a subscriber since issue 17). :)

I used to think PCZONE was great but unfortunately I decided I couldn't afford games often enough to make it worthwhile and I've had to throw out a huge stack of magazines stretching back years. I'd hate to think how much the whole lot cost me, especially as I used to buy PCPlus and occasionally PCFormat as well for years.

mishima, if you like Custom PC then it sounds like a bit of a bargain but I tend to prefer just reading the information on the internet now as it tends to be much more up to date. :)

Hmmm.....lets see....spend a fortune on games magazines which are usually if not always released weeks after online reviews are released......or......spend two mins finding an online review from gamespy, ign, gamershell or someone like that. Being a poor student I think Ill go for the more financially viable option.
