ok so from realtemp i get like 30 degree's now with my 4ghz overclocked e8400 with CPUID's monitoring software i get around 35-37 (these are idle btw) n on my bios i get like 40-42.. i know there is two sensors so why 3 temps? which sensor does realtemp use?? cud it be that the CPUID one is same as bios n its jus cooler when running than in bios?? =S

Windows fills all idle cycles with special command which does nothing, but basically shuts down the core for 1 clock tick, in bios the "idle" cycles are carried out using opcode 90 "noop", which does nothing, but doesnt put the cpu into power save either. So temperatures in bios are normally 60-70% of the maximum full load temperatures.

It could be that real temp has a different max tJunct temperature set, its sometimes a configurable option, if its set wrong, there could be anything from a 5 degree difference, to 20 degrees, I believe tJunct ranges from 85 to 105 depending on cpu mode./
