3 DIMMs in a P67 Board.

I have a 4x4GB kit of Corsair Vengeance LP Black I purchased of the members market and one of the sticks is faulty.

I'm running a P67 Sabertooth and was wondering if I can use 3 of the sticks in my PC while I sort out the replacement and what not.

I can always just use 2x4GB for the time but would prefer to put it to use if it's there and will work.

Any thoughts on this?

3 sticks will work just fine, Just not as fast as proper dual channel with 2 or 4 sticks would

So will I be better of leaving it as two sticks for the dual channel speed?

Unless you really need the extra ram, Yes.
