Just wondering after reading my evga 680 manual, I have 2 8800GTX (well one is original the other is an OC) which I have running in SLI. It mentions that I can add another GPU for physics and I was wondering if it was worth it?

Anyone tried it, looks like I can get a BFG 8600 (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-047-BG&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=912) to fit on the board but I wasn't sure if it would be utilised by anything?

I was looking at a Physix card but I have no spare PCI slots only one PCI-E slot and I fancy filling it with some hardware.

Thanks in advance...

There is nothing that makes use of physics processing on a GPU. Havok FX is yet to be implemented.

The Ageia PhysX PPU is only available for a standard PCI slot. Only get this if you play the few games it supports which can be seen on Ageias website. Unreal Engine 3 games such at UT3 should use it but I'd just wait to see what happens first.

Keep your pennies :)

thanks for the replies, I wasn't sure how long single slot PCI-E gpus would be available for as most new ones seem to be dual slot (motherboard manufacturers should look at this when considering pci slot placement)
