Must have:
12gb Titan x
16gb ram (DDR4??)
Water cooled
windows 10
CPU Intel i7- what is best bang for buck right now -x99 or new one ?
Decent sized SSD.

What is my best "pre built" option
How does shipping a water cooled pc work ? :D

dont need peripherals. Possibly add 2nd storage drive if budget permits

thanks

That would be more than £3k, wouldn't it?

I did come in to suggest the Infinity range, though.

yeah the 8pack custom ones are way out of the budget ive been spec'd.

I would build it myself but the "client" is in the UK and doesn't have the skills/time to build himself so wants an off the shelf OCUK one.

I talked him down to £3k originally £5k was on the cards.... I said he was crazy in not so many words.

Ultima Scimitar

X99 Motherboard
Intel 2011 5820K 6 core CPU
16Gb Ram
Fully Watercooled (CPU and video card)
120Gb SSD
1Tb Hard drive

With a Titan X 12Gb is comes to just over £2,700, the SSD is a bit lacking in terms of storage for another £96 you can bump that up to 500Gb and still be under budget.

You could do a custom PC yourself for less money or a better system for the same but it won't look as good a system that's been professionally built and cable managed.

Its not the spec i have been asked to look at but whats the difference between the 2 other than a ton of VRAM .

For single card configs, nothing. The 980Ti will perform maybe slightly worse than a titan under a custom loop.

If you plan to add a second/third in the future, Titans are the way to go.

What do you need the VRAM for? Running 16k textures XD. Seriously 6GB is more than plenty for gaming. Even for 4k my old 980's never went over 4GB.

The Titan X is slightly better 2-3% maybe? but is that worth the extra cost? That saved money could cover quite a few watercooling parts.

Other than that id go for X99 just for the extra core ability for other tasks.

Maybe go for the Ultima Scimitar with a 980Ti and get OcUK to add another for SLi?? That would be a beast and would probably hit your budget

I'm def getting OcUK to build my next system :)
