3 monitors setup question about cards

Hi, I will be buying a new system within months. I think I will get a 3 monitors setup since I do a lot of programming at home.

This will be a DELL 30 inch monitor in the center with 2 24inch monitors on the side.

Wanted to ask if I should be aware of anything about the graphic card setup, maybe I will require more than one card, to make this work. I also play games so I would like to have a decent video card for games.

Would that make a difference if I switch my old DELL 30 inch with a 4k screen ? Would that require to have at least 2 cards ?

You'll need to make sure that your monitor inputs will be covered by one card.

I.E HDMI,DVI & VGA unless your monitors all support DP then a 9 series card + would do it fine.
